Senator Carper, Senator Coons, and Congressman Carney, in cooperation with Delaware State University, are hosting a free Grant Workshop and Fair on Monday, May 21 at the MLK Student Center, Delaware State University, Dover. The purpose is:

  • to bring funders and fund seekers together one-on-one to discuss needs and available programs
  • to provide a workshop on best practices for finding, writing and securing grant
  • to provide an opportunity for networking.

Division Announces 2012 Fellows

Sixteen individual Delaware artists are being recognized for the high quality of their artwork in the visual arts, literature, music, jazz composition, and crafts. Artists were selected from towns throughout the state including Lewes, Dagsboro, Middletown, Newark, and Wilmington. Their work ranged from photography and poetry to playwriting and silk painting. 2012 Poets and Writers Retreat

Spend a weekend of writing at the Biden Center with JoAnn Balingit, Delaware’s Poet Laureate, and Alice Elliott Dark, short story author and novelist.

Writers at all levels of experience are invited to apply to this retreat. Workshops are designed for participants to generate new work, explore craft, and learn from each other in a safe and supportive environment.
